Dear Livingston Rotarians,
Welcome back to those who travelled to warmer places during Spring Break! There's nothing like snow and road construction to welcome you back home :)
I want to thank everyone for coming to our regular meetings at the Food Resource Center. Having lots of members present at meetings always makes a good impression on our guest speakers. If you haven't already done so, please think about a guest you can bring to Rotary to listen to an upcoming presentation. Perhaps you know someone who would be interested in hearing about the presenter's topic, or you just want to share all the good things our club does for the community. We all have busy lives, and for a number of us Rotary is just one of the many volunteer commitments we have on our plate...your efforts to build membership and spread the good news about Rotary is truly appreciated.
This month's planned service meeting (to help construct the shelter at G St Park) may be postponed due to weather-as you may have noticed, it's snowing and freezing outside. I am in communication with the city regarding an alternate date in May, and will keep you posted. Our club may help supervise PHS students in their efforts to clean up Livingston for their Earth Day Volunteer initiative...again, this is in the works and I'll keep you posted in future communications.
Please note, there is another Art on the Fly Committee meeting scheduled for Friday, April 20th at noon. We need help securing silent auction items and reaching out to businesses for event sponsorship. We plan to have event marketing materials ready to distribute by May 1st, and start selling tickets shortly after. Art on the Fly will be on Sunday, July 1st at 6pm.
